Two Ten Footwear Foundation Expands Community Service
Boston, MA March 10th, 2008 – Two Ten Footwear Foundation, has announced a plan to expand it’s Community Service Initiative. The first in the series of service days will take place on June 10th in Lake Mills, WI at the Rock Lake Activity Center, a community center, which serves the rural town of 4,000.
Peggy Meill, President of Two Ten remarked that, “the Midwest is such an integral part of the footwear community and we are proud to bring our knowledge of community service and our passion for creating positive change to the Shoepeople that call this region home.”
The Rock Lake Activity Center is a non-profit organization focused on improving the health and wellbeing of the community it serves. A proactive group of community members started the center in an abandoned elementary school and while the facility has come a long way, it is still in need of additional renovations, clean up and landscaping.
The service day will bring together more then 50 Shoepeople to assist the RLAC prepare it’s facility for the busy summer months. Organizations represented will include Famous Footwear, Kohls, Bonton, WEYCo Group, Phoenix Footwear and Prima Royale, to name a few.
