The Two Ten Footwear Foundation is proud to announce the winner of the newly created Ars Sutoria Scholarship, Christina Lepoutre. Christina is a Product Designer at Dockers Footwear, a division of Genesco, Inc. and hails from Nashville, TN. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from O¡¦More College of Design and has a true passion and dedication to her work.
The selection of a recipient for this illustrious scholarship was made exceeding difficult by the large pool of highly skilled candidates who applied. As a result, Ars Sutoria was generous enough to offer one additional partial scholarship. This award was granted to Michelle Geovese from Timberland. Michelle is an 11 year veteran of the footwear industry and a product developer in their corporate office in Stratham, NH.
The Ars Sutoris Scholarship, made possible by the generous support of the Ars Apel Group, and was specifically earmarked for industry professionals and enabled these two lucky women the opportunity to attend a comprehensive three-week Footwear Product Development course in Milan, Italy. The full scholarship package included free tuition and accommodations valued at nearly $18,000 U.S.
Special thanks also to Mary Kuconis of MEK Search who generously donated an airline ticket.
Great News! Ars Sutoria will be bringing a condensed version of their highly respected Product Development Training program to the U.S. This intense 4 day course is scheduled to take place from January 19-22, 2009 in the Boston area. If you are interested in participating or learning more about this program, please contact Phyllis Molta at pmolta@twoten.org
