T. Kenyon Holly Memorial Award
The T. Kenyon Holly Memorial Award, Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s highest honor for outstanding humanitarian achievement, is presented to an individual in the footwear, leather or allied industries who exemplifies the spirit and character of the late T. Kenyon Holly, past president of Two Ten.
Mr. Holly was was dedicated to helping less fortunate members of our industry. He worked quietly, effectively, and wholeheartedly in his philanthropic, civic, and church affairs. The award is not given to a leader merely for his prestige or accomplishment in the commercial world. Rather, it is for his charitable, civic, and public service to his community and nation.
2016 T. Kenyon Holly Memorial Award Honoree – Jay Schottenstein
The Chairman of DSW, Inc, Jay Schottenstein is nationally recognized for his role as an owner and operator of strong national and international retail brands, as well as retail, commercial and industrial real estate. An avid believer in the importance of philanthropy, Jay has made sure his family of companies is always focused, quietly but consistently, on being a good corporate citizen.
Jay and his wife Jeanie, and their sons Joseph [wife:Lindsay, children: Jacob, Jonah, and Emma]; Jonathan [wife Nicole]; and Jeffrey, along with other family members, are major benefactors to a number of national and international special projects, including: the 73-volume Schottenstein Edition of the Talmud Bavli, the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program at Yeshiva University, the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Prize in Cardiovascular Sciences at Ohio State University, and the recently opened Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein National Campus for the Archeology of Israel in Jerusalem. Jay is a member of the JNF Negev Society and World Chairman’s Council, the Israel Bonds Platinum Society and the United Way Tocqueville Premier National Society.
Among his many honors, Jay has received the Israel Peace Medal, and he and his wife, were honored by the American Red Cross with the “Humanitarian of the Year Award” in 2010.
