Melissa Clynes is a Two Ten scholarship recipient and also the recipient of several organ transplants. At just 10 days old, Melissa received a heart transplant, but 16 years of anti-rejection medications destroyed her kidneys and she was once again, in need of another transplant - this time; a kidney. Fortunately, her mother Mary gave her another chance at life and donated her kidney, but it was short lived. After a terrible virus, the kidney was destroyed.
