It was a social spring for the Women of the Footwear Industry!
The WIFI Seattle, Boston and New York chapters recently hosted wine-tasting events focused on educating women about wine so they feel comfortable ordering on the wine list in front of colleagues and clients. Special thanks to Wolffer Estate Vineyards and Naches Heights Vineyards for participating!
WIFI Columbus hosted an event in early May called “Staying Relevant” featuring three women in varying stages of their careers from DSW. In early June, the WIFI Portland chapter hosted its first official WIFI event at the Pensole Design Academy in Portland. This event called “Navigating and Powering Your Career” was a dynamic and informative conversation between Katie Kelley, Global Executive Development Director for the Fuerst Group, and Carolyn MacNaughton, VP of Women’s Footwear at Under Armour. On June 1, over 120 women gathered at the WIFI National event during FFANY that brought together women in footwear from across the country to learn about what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Joey Wolffer, Founder and Creative Director of The Styleliner and Wolffer Estate Vineyards, and Jessie Randall, Founder and Creative Director of Loeffler Randall shared their journeys including the ups and downs of starting your own business.
